this (unfinished) painting is actually quite an achievement for me. i've had this giant canvas for going on 3 years now. the size of it intimidated me, so i could never bring myself to start working on it. i even gave it away once and it made it's way back to me six months later. but now i'm finally working on it, slowly but carefully and using new techniques that i'm having to teach myself as i go along. my hands and arms are relearning the movements of painting. i probably have another month of work before i am done, at this rate.
