so, i ordered a new camera today. my trusty little point and shoot has served me well and i've learned a lot, but the time has come for me to move on. there is a lot more i want to do, and for that i'll need an slr.
the anxiety is coming from the fact that i have never spent so much money in my life. i grew up poor, and almost everything i own is secondhand. the most money i've ever spent on something besides rent was probably about 200. i am really looking forward to the camera arriving, but at the same time i am jittery. plus, i'm going to have to get used to a whole new machine and all the differences. it will be fun, i'll just have to work hard.
